MTN SUNCITY FESTIVAL 2015 LAUNCHED

The Managing Director of Suncity Multimedia, Mr. Ransford Antwi has launched the 2015 MTN-SuncityFest with a call on benevolent organizations to support and help champion the course in uplifting the image of the Brong Ahafo region. 
The MTN Suncity festival which is held annually starts on the 12th to the 27th of September. This is the fourth edition of the festival since its inception in the region. He said the programme will start with mobile money registration and transactions by MTN telecommunications then on the 12th, the programme starts officially with Inter-Community Soccer gala in Techiman at the Ameyaw Park. On the same Saturday evening, there will be a programme dubbed movie-mania at the Eusbett Hotel in Sunyani. Admission will be strictly by invitation.
There will be a walkathon in the Principal streets of Sunyani for people to exercise their bodies after which a health screening will be held at the Sunyani coronation park with an Under 15 soccer clinic. 
According to Mr Antwi there will be an evening of music by Ghanaian musician dancehall SuperStar, Samini and friends at the Center for National Culture.He said on the Monday, the 21st of September there will be an inter-community soccer gala in Sunyani at the Twene Amanfo Park , whilst on the 27th another soccer competition would be held at the Golden City park at Berekum, dubbed the Golden City Cup. 
Mr. Ransford Antwi noted that there have been calls for some of the activities to be extended to other District Capitals in the region but hoped that with time, that will become a reality. He added that the development of the region depends on the efforts of its people. He therefore appealed to the Sunyani traditional council to embrace the festival fully since they could use that as a medium to enhance their relationship with MTN which can translate into bigger things. He commended MTN for their continuously investing in people by way of sponsorship of events such as Suncity festival.
